Monday morning revealed 117 moths of 24 species, with 10 FFY at the MV trap at Cwmllwyd. It also ended a sequence of three 5:00 am starts in four days - I'm getting much too old for this lark, you know! FFYs were Scalloped Hazel, Waved Umber, Pebble and Pale Prominents,White Ermine, Ruby Tiger, Flame Shoulder, Powdered Quaker, Nut-tree Tussock and the Tortricid discussed in my previous post. And there's still a few micros to ID: well pleased with the night's work!
Ruby Tiger - we had a cat named after this species!
This rather pretty Caddis (?) turned up as well.
Keep up the good work, Steve. One of your comments reminds me of a half-dozen micros that I`ve got to look at in the fridge!
