First White Ermine...

...but I've cheated.  This is the first one to emerge in a box containing, hopefully, several pupae which originated from eggs produced by the twin-spotted female caught on the night of 26-27 June last year. I bred them in the hope that some at least might show the maternal twin-spot characteristic.  Clearly, this one doesn't, but I'm hopeful that more will emerge in the near future, and who knows?  One or more of them might turn up trumps for me.  I will keep the Group informed!

  1. One more emerged yesterday. Multi-spotted. Neither have moved from the box, which has no lid and is in the greenhouse. Still too cold, I guess.
