Looking at some English elms in a defunct hedgerow at Penyfan, Llanelli this morning, I spotted this buff-tip caterpillar chewing away at one leaf and also two different leaf mines.
Above: I think that the one on the RIGHT is Phyllonorycter tristrigella but what is the one on the LEFT - perhaps Stigmella lemniscella or Bucculatrix albedinella?
I also noted Bedellia solnulentella larval damage under some leaves within the swathes of bindweed in the old quarry area, and a mine on broom proved to be Agonopterix assimilella (thanks to Sam for help re latter).
