Some more Pendine photos - from Chris Manley
Chris Manley has kindly sent me some photos from last night`s trapping session near Pendine, with his permission to include them on the Carmarthenshire Moth Blog. They are shown below and amply demonstrate his skills as a moth photographer.
Above: hoary footman, with a backdrop of a rock from Ragwen Point. The yellow lichen is (or used to be) called Rhizocarpon geographicum (one of the few that I know!). It grows on acidic rocks such as the quartzite shown above.

As you say Ian, excellent photography. I'd very much like to know what camera Chris uses. I've just obtained an Olympus TG4 compact digital which has a 'micro' mode focusing as close as 1cm and an LED ring light, so I'm hoping to improve my technique.
