The forecast predicted rather strong southerlies and rain at 23:00ish, so I figured I'd run an MV in the garden and hope for a migrant on the front of the storm. Just under 60 species appeared, but none of them were migrants and it was frustrating seeing interesting moths getting whipped away in the wind around the side of the house. Highlights were the Micros Blastodacna hellerella (new for Cnwc), Apotomis semifasciana (which I've only seen once before) and a well-marked Dioryctria abietella. Surely I deserve a Small Marbled for effort.
Not a bad catch at Cnwc though, Sam. I had some migrants on the same night - but only c.6 silver y`s and one rush veneer. I`ll do a `catch-up` blog when I get a chance.
