Well and truly had it's wings clipped, this one! Must have been caught napping, with all four wings together over its back: one peck could account for all that damage. Also seen: one Painted Lady and only the third Silver Y of the year at Cwmllwyd - where are they all?

ReplyDeleteWe've a couple of buddleias still in flower on the patio and I've seen several small tortoiseshells taken by birds recently, the resident wren is the worst culprit!
