Mystery Moth
A modest catch with the two actinics out last night, but one there was one noctuid that's causing me bother:
FW length 13mm (about the size of a Small Square-spot), mottled light brown/grey but no really distinctive features, thorax light grey with a dark fringe. Looks distictive, I feel that I should be able to put a name to it but am baffled - nearest I can get is female Brown Rustic (non-feathered antennae), but the thorax doesn't suit! Any suggestions?
The only other arrival of note was a Beautiful Plume Amblyptilia acanthadactyla.
