Tissue on the wing

Not very many moths on the windows at night at the moment but I usually check them, just in case. Last night (Wednesday) the silhouette on the glass proved to be a tissue Triphosa dubitata. The photo doesn't do it justice - it was shiny and unworn and presumably recently emerged from hibernation in the one of the nearby caves in Carmel NNR (see my blog of 24/01/14). Note the scalloped edge to the hindwing which is partially visible.  I've only caught one before in my Carmel garden - on 26/04/08.
