Salem Common
I went looking for reptiles on Salem Common on Saturday and was pleased to find this batch of marsh fritillary caterpillars enjoying the sunshine. I know they've been recorded there in the past but I've never seen them. It could do with a bit of grazing in there to be honest and I know that was the plan when it was fenced a couple of years back. As it is it just get burned every year.
