Last Night's Moths
I put a small actinic trap in a sheltered place last night, after noticing that several Feathered Thorns had settled around the front door beneath the porch light.  This in itself was unusual because the light only has a small low-energy bulb and hasn't attracted many moths in the past.  There were several more Feathered Thorns in the trap this morning (total tally 12) along with a Rusty-dot Pearl and a Silver Y.  A solitary representative of the November Moth group had remained outside the trap.  That was it: not very remarkable, but better than nothing!

I had a Rusty Dot Pearl to our porch light last week as well. Migration has obviously continued at a low ebb, but the weather hasn't been good enough for trapping.
