Marsh Fritillary near Llandeilo

Last Sunday Julian Frieze and I were treated to a delightful spectacle in a small marshy field near Llandeilo. With the sun shining the field was alive with Marsh Fritillary butterflies. Although there were very few other species around, apart from a couple of whites, there seemed to be Marsh Fritillaries everywhere. In all we counted at least 30 - all quite happy to display themselves and pose for the camera.
