First April Trapping

I put a small actinic trap out last night.  Nothing around when I went to bed at 10.30 so I wasn't hopeful this morning, but to my surprise there were 8 moths in the trap: 2 Oak beauties, 2 Small Quakers, 2 March Moths, 1 Common Quaker and 1 Early Thorn.

There was a Peacock butterfly in the garden last Wednesday, which was a very fine, sunny day here.  It's the first and only butterfly I've seen this year!
