I`d put out a couple of the garden traps last night, in the hope of getting something migratory - but no luck. A modest selection of about twenty species of moth were caught, including several FFYs. The nicest captures were dingy shell, miller and alder moths.
Above: dingy shell in distinctive pose.
Above: alder moth.
Above: miller on Buddleia flower spike. This Buddleia always (and only) flowers in the spring for me. I suspect that it`s B. salviifolia, but that`s supposed to flower later in the year!
