Cold at Cwmllwyd
Only 35 moths of 13 species appeared at the MV trap last night, but 7 species were FFYs. These included the following:
Scalloped Hazel
Broom Moth
Lychnis.
Surely we must be due a warm and windless night, soon?
My trapping is also down compared to last year Steve, but I`m having a bit more fun looking for daytime micros etc - have a go at sweeping flowers, bushes etc or just patient observation. The tiny Psychoides filicivora was sheltering on my front door this morning...check ferns for this moth. Keep up the good work.
